China Fish 2014 Review
China Fish 2014 was held on Feb. 10 to 12, 2014 at New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC)-the same venue as last year. The exhibiting area of China Fish 2014 is 26,700 m2 (287,398 ft2) with Hall E1 and Hall E2 to keep the proper proportion of the visitors to the exhibitors.
Global Buyers The success of China Fish Show this year could surpass that of last year considering that both the number of the total visitors and the number of the international exhibitors have increased respectively. The number of the total buyers at China Fish 2014 is 3,175 with an increase of 21.2% compared with last year which definitely could meet the needs of the exhibitors. Among the 3,175 buyers, China Fish this year has seen 1,818 overseas buyers from 83 countries and regions. As one of the best fishing tackle trade show in the world along with EFTTEX and ICAST, China Fish also saw some well-known international buyers, like Pure Fishing, Daiwa, Okuma, Mustad, Rapala, Gamakatsu, etc. There were 1,357 domestic buyers from 24 provinces attending China Fish this year. ¡¡
Global Exhibitors As China Fish is and has been working to attract more international exhibitors to exhibit at the show, China Fish this year saw 58 international exhibitors from 20 countries and regions while China Fish 2013 saw 40 international exhibitors from 16 countries and regions. The number of the international exhibitors has increased by 45%. The total number of the exhibitors attending China Fish 2014 was 489, among which 59 were new exhibitors. 13 of the 59 new exhibitors were international exhibitors, counting 22%. The increase of the number of the visitors and international exhibitors definitely shows a good sign for the China Fish growth. The 20 countries and regions where the international exhibitors come from cover Australia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, Ukraine, USA and Vietnam. ¡¡

Interview with the overseas buyers As an international fishing tackle trade show, China Fish 2014 attracted 3,175 buyers including 1,818 overseas buyers from 83 countries and regions. According to the feedback from the exhibitors, the majority of the visitors are good quality buyers.

Best Product Awards Banquet As usual, China Fish held the Best Products Awards Banquet at CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL where most overseas visitors stayed. Guests attending the banquet covered overseas visitors, international exhibitors, nominated companies and media. Mr. Li paid much attention to the Best Product Showcase by which he wanted to encourage Chinese fishing tackle enterprises to create their own brand instead of being the OEM factories. The Best Product Showcase which was 288sqm opened to the overseas visitors and media who had the rights to vote for the Best Products. This was a grand activity which saw 120 companies including 12 international companies applying for the activity and the products exhibited at the Best Product Showcase covered 201 products in 18 categories. ¡¡
The aim of the Best Products Awards Banquet is to encourage the enterprises to make innovation and produce new products. One company called American Tackle has won awards separately from EFTTEX, ICAST and China Fish-the three biggest fishing tackle trade shows in the world, which presents a big warning to Chinese enterprises. Mr. Li said: ¡°Only by manufacturing innovative products with high quality, Chinese enterprises can overcome the difficulties and challenges of exporting products. Also in the fierce competition, Chinese enterprises have to make innovation or they will fall far behind.¡± Gratifyingly, the youngsters in the fishing tackle industry have made much effort to make innovation and to strive for further success, like GT-BIO International Co., Ltd. and Blank King Kong Company. They all won awards and attended the Best Products Awards Banquet which set a good example for the younger generation. ¡¡
Despite some former industry leaders can not follow up the trend due to lack of innovation, one company called Weihai Haibin Fishing Tackle Co., Ltd. won the Best Products Awards in rod and lure/fly reel. The founder of this company happened to be the major participants who produced the first glass fiber fishing rod in the year 1987 in China. He insists innovating to follow up and changes and to share bigger cake in the fishing tackle market.
The Best Product Awards Banquet remains as the big theme of China Fish as usual which attracts much attention from the public. Totally three international companies have won the Best Product Awards, they are P.T. CENTRAL SARANA PANCING from Indonesia, MIMIX Corporation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. from Thailand and American Tackle Company, Inc. from America.

Seminar on Exploiting the European Fishing Tackle Market Mr. Li said: ¡°Time is changing and China Fish will change its role as the OEM center to the platform for the Chinese enterprises to create their own brands and export their products to the overseas market.¡± Thus, a seminar was held by China Fish and Mr. Jean-Claude BEL-CEO of EFTTA at the show. Mr. Jean-Claude BEL shared his view on the current trend of the European fishing tackle market and explained the new rules for those who want to exhibit or visit the EFTTEX show. Questions and answers after the seminar between Mr. Jean-Claude and the audience were really active. ¡¡
China Fish 2015
China Fish 2015 will be held on Mar. 2-4, 2015. at New China International Exhibition Center. As of the last day of China Fish Show 2014, 419 companies have submitted their booth booking forms for the next year, accounting 85.7% of the 489 exhibitors at China Fish 2014.
